Time out while publishing to remote server

If you are frequently receiving this message while trying to publish your site to the remote server, try using the import method instead.

  1. Open FrontPage Explorer.
  2. Click on More Webs.
  3. Enter the IP address for the name of the remote serve
  4. Click on list webs.
  5. Select the <root web> (or whatever web you are importing into) and click on OK.
  6. Enter your user id and password.
  7. Click on File, Import.
  8. Select from a World Wide Web Site Radio Tab.
  9. Enter http://YourLocalPWSName/SubWebName (IF ANY)/ for the location
  10. Click Next.
  11. Uncheck all of the limit check boxes.
  12. Click Next.
  13. Click on finish.
