When we register our own domain name, why does the Internic bill us?
InterNIC bills all registrants a fee of $70 for initial registration. This fee is good for 2 years.
After the two years are up, the fee is only $35 per year. These fees are above what Corpsite offers and
is a standard industry fee.
Does Corpsite's setup fee include the domain registration with the Internic?
The setup fee includes the setup of your actual hosting account and
email configurations. It does not include the Internic new domain registration
fee of $70 for the first two years. The InterNIC bills the owner of the
domain (the customer) separately for this.
If the customer already owns the domain name the Corpsite's setup charge is still applicable, and
the transfer of the domain name is free of charge
Can I have multiple domains on one hosting account?
Yes. Charges are $10 per month per additional domain name.
How do I switch my site and domain to Corpsite's servers?
Switching your web site and domain name is easy provided that either you or someone at
your organization are listed as either the technical or administrative contact on your
domain record at InterNIC. All we need is your domain name - we take care of the rest.
One we have contacted InterNIC with your transfer request, please keep a watch out for
an email from InterNIC. Please follow the instructions in the email to authorize the transfer.
That's it!
Then all you need to do is upload your web site files to your new Corpsite account.
The domain name should be active on Corpsite's servers within a few days.
TIP!: To avoid any downtime between hosting accounts, it's a good idea to upload your
site to your new account as soon as possible.
We also recommend you keep your existing account active until the domain
has switched to our server, this way, there will be no down time for your
site.
